A Few More Whimsie Doodle Easter Images!

I have been busy getting Easter cards finished so I can start on cards for my son's 15th birthday, which also falls on Easter this year!

Didn't these two kids turn out adorable!?  Once they were printed out, I put them through the Cuttlebug using some Spellbinder's Dies.  The green and blue layering paper was from a Die Cuts With a View paper pack. I loved that I had scraps in my stash that matched it almost perfectly so that I could add some more color. Both sentiment stamps were from the dollar bin at Michael's.

A Couple of Easter Cards

This year is flying by so FAST!  It is hard to believe that Easter is just a few weeks away.  I've decided to get started on a few Easter cards for family and friends.  These are a couple of cards using MORE digital images from guess where?  WHIMSIE DOODLES!  Yes, I love them!

I thought this little boy and girl was so adorable!  They were so much fun to color too!  The Happy Easter stamp was from the dollar bin at Michaels.  I just love the bakers twine from The Twinery that is used on the little girl card.  The Doodlebug button I found in my stash matched the twine perfectly!  I would love to have every color they make! I am well on my way to make that happen!

You're the Salt to My Pepper Card

This was such a quick and simple card to make.  Not too much coloring, really just a little shading, layer on some papers, and it is finished!

And yes, it is ANOTHER image from Whimsie Doodles!  I added some button brads from my stash to give it a little more interest.  I think it turned out pretty cute!

Thanks A Melon Card

Today I have another card using a Whimsie Doodle digital image.

That watermelon looks so yummy!  I can't wait for summer to get here so I can use this image on a scrapbook page.  My little girl loves watermelon, so this would be perfect for a page with her eating a big juicy piece!

Once again, I used all scraps from my stash (I love using up all those small pieces!) and colored it in with my Copics.  I did stamp and emboss in white the main layering paper.  The background stamp is from Stampin Up.

Birthday Card with Whimsie Doodle Digital Image

I have fallen in love with the digital images from Whimsie Doodles! They are so adorable!  I love that I can use digital images for so many different projects since I can size them however I want.

Isn't this turtle so sweet?  I made this card for my aunt's birthday.  I colored the turtle with my Copic's and just grabbed some papers and flowers from my stash.  The stamp is from a Hero Arts sentiment set.

Personalized Wall Plaques

My sister-in-law asked me to make her name plaques for her nursery and this is what I came up with.  I had purchased the wooded plaques from Joann's, and when my mother-in-law saw them, she said my father-in-law could cut them out for me. She traced them out, took them to my handy father-in-law, and he saved me 20 bucks by cutting them for me! I returned the one's I bought, but of course the refund money went to more crafting supplies!

She wanted the letter's painted brown, but I wasn't crazy about the dark brown color, so I distressed the letter's to soften them up some.  I added ribbon, flowers, and pearls to dress them up.

Her shower was last weekend and she LOVED them!  Several other family members at the shower liked them as well, so hopefully I can get a few orders to make more when there is another baby on the way!

A Couple of Birthday Card's

It seems like I have so many family members and friends with birthdays in February!  These are a couple that I have done this month for family and friends.
I made this one for my sister in law.  It seems like she is getting LOTS of creations from me lately with her birthday and baby shower all right around the same time!  The stamp is from Hero Arts.  I just love this stamp! It was so fun to color with my Copics.  I stamped the image with Jenni Bowlin Ink and embossed it before coloring it in with Copics.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and embossed in black.

This card was made for my uncle.  I have a really hard time coming up with masculine cards.  I used Recollections brown cardstock as my base and stamped a woodgrain background stamp with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  I decided to try out the sticky back canvas from Claudine Hellmuth and LOVE it!  I inked it all over with Tea Dye Distress Ink and stitched around the edges with my sewing machine.  The hearts are from a Papertrey Ink Heart set.  I stamped them on cardstock and then just cut them out and added them to the card.  Even though it is a masculine card, I think the hearts worked ok. The button is just one I pulled from my stash and the twin is from Papertrey Ink.
