Homemade Finger Paints!

I stumbled across some finger paints a while back on Pinterest (I am addicted!!) and decided they would be perfect for my little girl. She is always wanting to paint, and sometimes there just isn't the time to drag out the paints, brushes, water, and set the whole thing up so she can have some fun!  When I saw this, I just knew it would be perfect for her.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup corn starch
3 tbs. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups water
Food Coloring
Container for your finished paint (I bought small squeeze bottles in the candy section at Joann's)

Mix all of this together in a pan and warm until it turns thick.  I stirred mine the whole time to prevent clumps.  Once it is thick, let cool.  This is the consistancy you should have:

Once the mixture has cooled, divide mixture into the containers you want to use.  I put the mixture in a ziplock bag and cut the tip to squeeze it into my bottles. The mouth of the bottle was small, so this helped alot!  Once the bottles are filled, add drops of food coloring and mix.  You now have finger paints that any kid would love! And best of all, when my little Olivia wants to paint, all I have to do is hand her paper and the bottles and she can go town town getting creative!
