My Baby Girl is THREE!

I can not believe how fast the past 3 years have flown by! My little princess turned three today! She had her party with her little school friends on Saturday and a small get together with my side of the family on Sunday.  Today will conclude the celebrations with dinner to her favorite Mexican restaurant!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVIA!

This is the VERY quick card I threw together to give her at dinner tonight. To be honest, I had forgotten to make her a card!  I had been so busy with her party stuff and getting a jump on her school Valentine party it just slipped my mind! Yes, I am a BAD mommy! :)

I used Kraft cardstock as my base. The designer paper is My Minds Eye. The collection is Lime Twist, Life of the Party.  I love all of MME's papers and embellishments!  The stamped image and sentiment is from Hero Arts "Sweet Wonderful You" set. I think the little girl turned out so cute and is perfect for Olivia! I colored her in with Copics and layered her on a Spellbinders Lacey Circles Die.  The sentiment is stamepd on a Fillable Frames Die from Paper Trey Ink.  I finished the die off with some crushed velvet brads from Doodlebug.

Thanks for stopping by! It's time to head to dinner for a Birthday Celebration!

Christmas Eve/Morning Layout

I created this layout of Christmas using My Minds Eye Paper and embellishments along with images from the Silhouette online store.  I still can not believe how great the Silhouette cuts such detailed images! I wanted to use multiple pictures on my layout, but didn't want it to be photo heavy.  I haven't quite mastered the Photoshop program yet to make collages, so I usually just create collages from Walgreens and then trim my pictures down.  That works fine for some things, but the pictures aren't always the same size and it can cost several dollars for a collage. When I was roaming around a forum on Two Peas in a Bucket, I came across a post about using Picasa from Google to create collages. That was a great find! It is a FREE service and all you do is create your collage in whatever size you want (4X6, 5X7, etc.) , save it to your picture library and have it printed wherever you get your prints printed! I did these pictures in 4X6 size and it only cost me 15 cents to have it printed. I trimmed them apart and they worked perfect for this layout.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Yearly Christmas tradition layout

Ever since CJ was a baby, we have always gone to a mall in Atlanta to have pictures done with Santa. Let me tell you, the Santa at that mall is the REAL DEAL!  It is so worth the drive and wait to have pictures done with him.  CJ is almost 15 now, and I took him there every year until he was 11, when he decided he could "take it or leave it" to have his picture made with Santa. We always went to ride the Pink Pig after we would see Santa. It was always so much fun and I was really a little sad when he decided it wasn't something we just had to do every year.  Well, when his little sister came along 3 years ago, all of that changed!  For the past 2 years we have started this tradition again and I am so happy!  He is such a great BIG brother and even agrees to ride with his sister. He might tell you he just does it so I won't nag him, but he really enjoys doing it with her too!  I used the brochure from the ride to make my title for the layout which worked out great.  I was able to use memorbilia in my title!

Here is a picture of the two of them with Santa.

CJ wasn't really planning on being in the picture this year, but Olivia was still a little skitish of Santa and said she wanted to sit in "brother's" lap!  That was ok by me! Maybe he will continue to sit with Santa with Olivia until she is too big!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Holiday layout from Christmas 2011!

Sorry the picture isn't the best, I am still trying to figure my lighting.  This is a layout of my DD building her very first gingerbread house.  She had such a great time, and really did a good job considering it was her first one! I do think she ate more candy than she put on her house though!  The gingerbread house and title were cut using the Silhouette. Those two images were the first one's I cut with the machine and I was SO impressed with how well they turned out!  I have a Cricut Expression, but had wanted a Silhouette for the longest time!  A fellow Blogger I follow posted that she was selling her's since she got the new Cameo, so I just HAD to purchase it from her! I was happy to help her find a new home for it! THANKS CHRISTINA!  If you haven't checked out her blog and youtube channel, you MUST!  She is such a talented person and provides so much inspiration!  You can find her at http://www.creationswithchristina.com/.  You won't be sorry you stopped by to visit her blog!  Hope you enjoyed this layout! I will be back soon with some others from the holidays!

January is already close to being OVER!

I can not believe how fast this month has flown by! My DD's 3rd birthday is next week, so I have been busy getting things ready for her party this weekend.  I started this blog back in October and really had every intention of posting regularly, but with the holidays, it didn't work out the way I planned! I have been trying to get all of my projects put on my computer today that I worked on over the holidays or am getting caught up on. So, YES, I know it is January, but I am posting a few cards that I made over THANKSGIVING!  I just adore the Lawn Fawn stamps and these are a few that I made with their Thanksgiving set.

The first card was actually paper pieced with scraps of paper from my stash. I think it turned out really cute and who doesn't love to use up scraps that would just eventually be thrown away?  The second and last card are just the stamped images colored with Copic markers and then cut out and placed on the card.  I love how easy it is to use Copics with the Lawn Fawn stamps! They are so fun to color!

I will be "trying" to post more regularly now that the kiddos are back in school and I am on somewhat of a normal schedule now!  I will be posting a few layouts from the Holidays in the next few days and then will start up with the Valentines stuff. Thanks for stopping by!
