A Couple of Birthday Card's

It seems like I have so many family members and friends with birthdays in February!  These are a couple that I have done this month for family and friends.
I made this one for my sister in law.  It seems like she is getting LOTS of creations from me lately with her birthday and baby shower all right around the same time!  The stamp is from Hero Arts.  I just love this stamp! It was so fun to color with my Copics.  I stamped the image with Jenni Bowlin Ink and embossed it before coloring it in with Copics.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and embossed in black.

This card was made for my uncle.  I have a really hard time coming up with masculine cards.  I used Recollections brown cardstock as my base and stamped a woodgrain background stamp with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  I decided to try out the sticky back canvas from Claudine Hellmuth and LOVE it!  I inked it all over with Tea Dye Distress Ink and stitched around the edges with my sewing machine.  The hearts are from a Papertrey Ink Heart set.  I stamped them on cardstock and then just cut them out and added them to the card.  Even though it is a masculine card, I think the hearts worked ok. The button is just one I pulled from my stash and the twin is from Papertrey Ink.

A Baby Card

Just a quick post today with a baby card I put together for my sister in law.

This stamp image and sentiment was perfect to use for twins! It is from Unity Stamp.  I stamped it on Gina K Design cardstock and colored it in with Copics. All of the patterned papers are from my scraps stash. The ribbon, button, and pearl accents are also from my stash.  I think the pearls actually came from the dollar bin at Michael's.

A Baby Shower Invitation

My husband's brother and his wife are expecting TWINS!!!  I was in charge of doing the invitations for the shower and this is what I came up with.
I tried to keep it as simple as I could since I had to make 30 of these.  I had in my mind that I wanted to use babies in a pea pod and searched EVERYWHERE for a stamp and couldn't find one. A stamp sure would have made this project a lot easier!  I ended up just drawing out my own pea pod and cut them all out. Boy was that a job!  Seeing as I am NOT an artist and can't draw, they turned out fine!  The babies heads are punched from a 1 1/2 inch circle punch.  I stamped the faces with the Baby Faces set from Peachy Keen stamps.  I used a Fiskars punch for the border, added the "It's a Shower" stamp, and it was done.  I usually like to be more detailed with the cards I make, but 30 was A LOT to make, so simple was best for this project.

Valentines Cards with the Silhouette!

I so LOVE the Silhouette! There are a ton of cute images to use on Valentine cards.  I got my inspiration for the following two cards from Kerry at Kerrys Paper Crafts.  She does some great work and provides so much inspiration!  You can find her at http://www.kerryspapercrafts.com/.  If you haven't checked out her blog, you must! She does some great tutorials for lots of different types of paper crafts!
The one thing I love about the "Love is all you need" image is it can be used in a couple of different ways.  I am getting some things together for a Valentine's layout of my kids and am using this cut as the title of my page.  I am changing it up a little and using it to say "all you need is LOVE".  Once Valentine's is over and I have finished the layout, I will post a picture of it completed.

I stamped the background of the card using a Papertrey Ink background stamp. The ribbon, twine, and button are from my growing stash!

I thought this little owl was just adorable!  You can't tell from the picture, but I used a background stamp from the same Papertrey Ink set as in the first card.  I printed out the sentiment on the computer.  I think it turned out pretty cute!

**THANKS KERRY FOR ALL YOUR INSPIRATION!!!

A Birthday Card

Things have been super busy around here trying to get ready for Olivia's Valentine party at school this Friday!  I will post some Valentine stuff in the next day or so, but todays card is one I made for my cousin's wife.

I think that little chick is so stinkin' cute! It is a digital stamp that I found for free. I can not remember where it came from as I got it a while back.  I think it might have come from Whimsie Doodle stamps, but I can't be 100% sure.

I printed him out and colored him in with Copics.  I mounted him on a Spellbinders Lacey Circles die.  The patterned paper is from the Lime Twist collection by MME, Life of the Party.

The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Punnylicious Set.

I meant to add Stickles to the frosting and remembered that I had forgotten AFTER I put the card in the envelope!  I would have gone back and done it, but I was walking out the door to mail it...OH WELL!  I am sure she didn't mind that the bling was missing!
